1. Weekly Milongas – Dance, Connect, Celebrate

Our weekly milongas are the heartbeat of the Montreal tango scene. Every week, dancers gather to share embraces, enjoy live music, and celebrate the beauty of Argentine tango.

These nights are open to everyone – whether you’re an experienced dancer or taking your first steps into tango’s magical world.

2. Practica Sessions – Learn by Dancing

Join our guided practicas, a relaxed environment for dancers to practice, explore, and refine their movements with support from instructors.

Practicas are a perfect way to reinforce what you’ve learned in class and meet the vibrant community of Tango renaissance and  our tango events in Montreal.

3. Live Music Nights – The Soul of Tango

Experience the power of live tango orchestras that bring authentic Buenos Aires energy to Montreal. In 2024 and 2025, we organized amazing evenings with Tango Bardo, El Cachivache Orkesta from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and other world-renowned musicians.

Each live music event is a celebration of culture, artistry, and the emotional essence of tango.

4. Special Workshops – Learn from the Masters

Throughout the year, Tango Renaissance hosts workshops with guest maestros from Argentina and Europe. These exclusive sessions are designed for intermediate to advanced dancers seeking deeper understanding and artistic growth. There are plenty of tango events in Montreal but which ones to choose can be tricky, some events are held on north shore or south shore  and not on the island of Montreal for example, and not  accessible via public transformation at all.

5. Annual Montreal Tango Festival

The highlight of the year, the Montreal Tango Festival organized by Tango Renaissance, attracts hundreds of dancers from across North America.

6. Guest DJ & Theme Nights

Every month, we invite renowned DJs from Canada and abroad for themed tango nights – from Golden Age classics to modern orchestral sets. Dress up, dance, and discover new tango moods every time.

7. Citywide Collaborations & Pop-Up Events

Beyond our studio, Tango Renaissance Montreal collaborates with art galleries, local festivals, and community spaces to bring tango to new audiences. Keep an eye on our calendar for pop-up milongas, outdoor tango nights, and charity galas around Montreal.
